Non-contact Eye Gaze Point Estimation System by Mapping of Corneal Reflections

چکیده

In this paper, we suggest a new system to estimate user’s eye gaze direction. Our system is consisted of 5 IR LEDs and CCD camera. IR LEDs that are attached to the corners of a computer monitor make glints on the surface of a cornea of an eye. If the user sees the monitor, the center of the pupil is always in a polygon that is made by the glints. By this fact, this system can compute user’s eye gaze direction without computing geometrical relation among the eye, the camera, and the monitor in 3D space. This method is simple and fast. We will introduce the method and show experiment results.
